About the Area
Cheshire County is a beautiful part of New England, full of rolling hills, working farms and charming villages. Helen’s parents bought a house in Alstead in 2005, and Helen spent summers working on Orchard Hill Farm (our wedding venue!) George and Helen started making trips up together in 2021, and got engaged here in May 2025.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you in this special place!

While we recommend renting a car, if you are interested in taking public transportation, feel free to reach out to us with any questions. There is limited train and bus service to the area:

Greyhound service to Keene from NYC and Boston
Dartmouth Coach service to New London/Lebanon/Hanover from Boston South Station and Boston Logan
Dartmouth Coach service to Lebanon/Hanover from Midtown NYC
Lodging Recommendations
There are many lovely places to stay in and around Cheshire County. When booking accommodation, keep in mind that on the day of the wedding we will be running buses to and from our venues, with pickups near the accommodations we list in Keene and Walpole. If you wish to stay outside of these locations, you will need to provide your own transportation.
